Welcome to the Home of the Brighton R/C Hawks

A Radio Control Model Aeronautics Association

We are a small group who possess a great deal of knowledge in the areas of model building and flying. Our club started with a handful of experienced flyers wanting to get together to create a local flying field. Our club now has 30 plus members and is still growing.

Radio Control flying is open to men and women of all ages. Our Club membership ranges from highly experienced life long flyers and qualified flying instructors, to people taking their first steps in learning the finer art of R/C flying.

Our aim is to provide local R/C flyers with one of the finest flying fields in Ontario.

All aspects of our field conform with MAAC safety standards.

IMAC Judging School - Orleans, Ontario - April 28, 2012

Hello all you Aerobats:

An IMAC judging seminar will be held at the Orleans branch of the Ottawa library, 10am-5pm on April 28th. The seminar will be led in English but all materials will be available in French as well. The cost to attend this seminar should be around $ 10.00 per person. Given the rapid growth of scale aerobatics in this area and number of new and prospective pilots, we will start from the basics so no experience/knowledge will be assumed! Registration is on www.ScaleAerobaticsCanada.com<http://www.scaleaerobaticscanada.com/>.

For all who have an interest in IMAC , whether as a pilot or an educated observer, this session is a great starting point. Do come out and meet everyone, and lets all learn together. We will have folks from all over the region attending.
For those who are beginner aerobats and think this is not for them, I would like to correct that thought. Hearing about the judging criteria and seeing what the correct move looks like will give everyone a huge positive start.
This is definitely a great opportunity to pick up valuable information on correct manoeuvers and correct aerobatic flying

Remember to REGISTER for this, and please do so soon. The organizers need to see our interest.

xx Field Access | 18 Mar 12

Greeting RC Hawk Members
With the outstanding weather we are receiving, several of us have been flying at the field. Please be aware that access to the field is rather muddy in spots and quite soft. Mark has placed some stakes in the laneway that are very soft and muddy. Use caution when using the laneway, in particular the area from the south end of the runway to the parking area. Try to stay as far as possible on the side.

Konrad
